Jurassic Pack

I think the night was a hit! The boys started out by playing bowling with two litter bottles. It was a great opener and was such a great hit that they continued to play after the meeting was over.

The "Wolf-osaurus" award...

The geologist disagreeing that my "dinosaur" eggs that I found were really "dinosaur" eggs. (Really they were easter eggs with the awards hidden in them.)

The greatest geologist and his son (the cutest geologist) I know, giving their presentation. The boys loved it and where so involved, they hung onto every word. I can't express how much I appreciate Adam coming and having such an amazing presentation for the boys.

After the awards and geological presentation the boys were able to examine the rocks, open their own "fossil", or play the bowling game. The fossils were just small dollar store dinosaurs hidden in plaster of paris (used disposable cupcake tins to form). Thanks again sis for such a great idea. I buried the fossils in a large box with shredded paper so the boys would have to dig for them. Then with safety goggles, hammers, and a paint brush they went to town to discover their dinosaur.

The night was so much fun and wouldn't have been possible with all the help from great leaders and great parents. I just can not thank my leaders enough for all of their help. The boys wouldn't be as successful as they are without their den leaders and parents.
Thanks again!
